What a Dumbell!
I've just finished my first month of NS, and in the process have lost 25 lbs.  Yes, you heard me right, 25.  I'm amazed!   But, today I had a rude awakening.  As I sat down in front of my computer I picked up my twenty-five pound dumbell.  I keep one sitting at the computer, and while reading through emails, I've made it part of my routine to do as many curls as I possibly can.  I logged into NS, and logged my weight which is now twenty-five pounds lighter than when I first started, and as I struggled to complete a twentieth repetition with my dumb-bell I though, Oh my God, This is what I've been carrying around.  This dumbell, that I'm struggling to lift is the same amount of weight that I've been carrying around with me; straining my back, my knees, everything.  Needless to say it was quite an eye-opener.
I'm so excited to start my second month, and my lighter, healthier self.

First off, congrats on the weight loss! That's awesome.
Secondly, kudos for the creative thinking with the dumb bell at your desk. The #1 reason people give for not exercising is that they "don't have time." Fitting it in your day creatively is the perfect solution.
Lastly, keep up the excellent work! :)

Congrats on the weight loss. By the time you are near your goal you will have the equivalent of 2 of those dumbbells missing. My 25 lb loss was like a large Thanksgiving turkey in my mind. 30# is like a bag of dog food I lug around.

Very good for you...wow, 25 lbs in one month!! I never had those results...the first time I did NS, I was averaging about 2-3 lbs a month, it seemed pretty sad and so I waivered, not happy with the slowness...then that led to me gaining all the weight that I had lost back plus some!! Felt like a failure for a while but I am back for the second time now...only on my third day, but I am motivated to do it right this time and accept weight loss at any speed...

I've always been active, but due to my job, I ate very poorly. I'm a flight-attendant, and was always eating on the road, in hotels, late-night bar food, airport fast food, you get the picture. It was too easy to make bad choices every-single meal, every-single day. But now, with nutrisystem packed away in my suitcase, I have everything I need, and calories remain in check. I also found it too easy to enjoy 1-2 glasses of wine or a cocktail each night when sitting alone in a hotel bar. Now that I don't go down to the bar to eat, that habit too has gone away. Now that I'm consuming far less calories than what I'm burning in a day, my weight is dropping quite drastically, and my body is quickly falling into check.
